It's been twenty years already? Damn, I feel old

I remember having my grey brick with the magnifying glass + light and playing it everywhere, even in the dark. Had half a dozen NiCd batteries for it too just for the brick and light, and playing it plugged to the mains for hours.

Who remembers tetris linked played? That was the bomb back in the days....portable mutiplayer

GB, GBC, GBA, NDS Lite, 3DS

Already posted in here but the update of a 3DS deserves mention

Do any of you still refer to your DS or 3DS as a 'gameboy'? I still do.

We had the contraption, I believe for the SNES, for plugging in gameboy games and playing them on the TV. Good stuff.

i also still remember my first gameboy colour, its was that aqua/teal colour, man i loved that thing, running with a DS lite at the moment, getting a 3ds when ocarina hits the shelves

I basically just shared all of the game boy varants with my two other brothers. We didn't get the Game Boy Colour.

The Game Boy Advance SP was by far the best generation IMO.

I had the silver Star Wars special gameboy pocket, then got a GBA. Recently found my GBA the other day when I was going through the stuff I stashed at my parents place after I moved out of my teenage home. Been hitting up pokemon silver most days on the train. So good, going to pick up some old pokemon GBA carts, maybe buy a DS to get black & white!

Game Gear made Gameboy look like a $2 watch from the markets that made a beep sound when you depressed one of the two large buttons.

Game Gear was more expensive and had less games! Colour screen or awesome games! Nintendo WINS!

I've still got a grey & a clear Nintendo Game Boy, purchased them both from Gamesmen which my family only visited once a year because I would nag them to death all year. I even wrote my name and a 6 digit phone number behind the batteries, 6 digit phone numbers soooo old lol.

Pocket > Colour (The yellow/blue pokemon one ) > GBA > GBA SP > 3DS

Gameboy/Pokemon ftw!

Yep always call my 3DS a gameboy. Got some younger brothers who don't understand why I call their DS a gameboy

We had a couple of originals and a couple of colours. Those things got me through trips across the Nullabor, from Melbourne to Devonport, and Melbourne to Benalla on an almost monthly basis.

20 years later I'm spending way too much time playing games from the same era (Secret of Mana on iPhone - that's gonna take ages to clock) nad Zelda OOT on the 3DS.
