Default Noob looking for a new work notebook

Hi all,

I'm looking for a new notebook for work and can't figure out what I need. I'm trying to keep costs down but I don't want to buy problems.

Here is what I need to run, all at the same time:

external display (22" viewsonic) Plus the notebook display.
firefox
excel x 2-3 spreadsheets
MYOB
Outlook
Sage Handisoft (Minimum specs require 500mhz pc)

What I also need is decent after sales support.

What I am thinking is a 2.0Ghz macbook aluminium (I know it goes against keeping costs down, but i'm willing to make an exception to run OSX concurrently) with 4GB of RAM running windows vista business, or windows 7 through VMWare. However I'm not sure whether this computer has enough power to run a second display plus vmware with vista.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I'd like to avoid toshiba as my current Tecra A6 has been nothing but problems.

Thanks.
