Just got an email about new SSD/Memory available in Aus ... A-RAM.

One of their SSD series uses the Barefoot controller (PRO) and the 64GB (ARSSD64GBP) is about $50 cheaper than the G.Skill Falcon and the 128GB (ARSSD28GBP) is about a $100!

Their website says the ULTRA is Samsung but not reference to Pro and Alpha.

For that sorta pricing I'm almost tempted to upgrade to 128GB and put my Falcon into my laptop!

No idea, but they look hell tempting.

There is also a 32GB version of the PRO for about $150. Sounds hell tempting for my laptop!

They sure are tempting - they are getting to about the same price I paid for the 36GB raptor which is due for replacement.

Love the article.. Enough for me to actually join OCAU and post!

Does anyone have any other info or benchmarks on those A-RAM Pro Drives?

Keep up the great work!

Question Toshiba's T6UG1XBG?

From the Kingston SSD now V+ thread on Benchmark reviews. The read/write speeds seem to be a lot better than the V series and the listed US prices seem to be on par with the older "V" units. More speed, more room, same price, waiting...
I have been reading about the controller (?) Toshiba's T6UG1XBG here, the first line linked to reads:
