Bargain Downloadable Games

I'm always on the lookout for bargain games. Most of the time I only find out after the fact, especially when the offer is limited to a single weekend or day.

Therefore I'd like to make a thread where anyone can post game bargains, preferably downloadable games, as they don't have shipping costs or limited numbers of units.

So, to start this off:

I thought Direct2Drive didn't work for Australians? Has it recently changed?

Different games have different restrictions.

You need to click on the games to see which countries they are restricted to.

Eg, for the T2K games, the Civilization series is not sold to Australians, but Bioshock is.

You just need to check each game that you are interested in. Good prices on that site.

I've got Pirates! and Civilization 4 in my shopping cart, i've signed in, and all i have to do is enter my CC in and i would presume i'd have them..

Give it a go and tell us what happens.

If you click on Civ 4. Its restricted to the US, UK, Canada & Mexico IIRC.

You can't go past Mount and Blade in my opinion... I've been playing it since some very early versions and it's a top little game.

Thank god for this thread. Played M&B on my old comp (Swadian Knights=godly) and I lost the old install! It was only like $8 when I bought it, now it's $40AU on the official site. I almost cried when I saw the offer ended on Wednesday (1AM Thursday when I find out) but remembered the timezone difference of 17 hours, so it's only just Wednesday in America. JOY! And as luck would have it, I had $2.54 in my Paypal account, so only had to pay $16AU. THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRIS MCMAHON!!!!!!!

Men of War for <US$12 is hard to beat too. It's US$30 on steam, and AUD$80 locally.

GamersGate is great if you like strategy games. They're got some real classics and pretty good prices. They are also more flexible when it comes to "US only" releases.

Only downside is that their bandwidth isn't crash hot. Limited to about 120KB/s per download and their download software needs babysitting.

Yeah, M&B was an awesome deal for 15 usd. And no messing about with a downloader - it gives you a serial so I just went and downloaded it from the developer's website instead

Currently umming and ahhing about grabbing World in Conflict while it's 15 bucks... Don't really need it... But...

M&B was like $4-5 at some point during a Steam weekend special, kinda wish I'd picked it up. Been told it's pretty cool.
