Natural Selection 2 is an immersive, multiplayer shooter that pits aliens against humans in a strategic and action-packed struggle for survival. It seamlessly combines a shooter/FPS gameplay with a strategy (RTS) game.

Whether you play as one of the elite marine Frontiersmen or the vicious alien Kharaa, you must use unique strategies and your abilities to win. Marines form persistent squads to find and destroy alien hives. Aliens can choose a wall-running Skulk, pudgy Gorge, flying Lerk, murderous Fade or gigantic Onos that can smash through doors.

Commanders play from overhead to lead their team to victory. Build structures anywhere, collect resources and research upgrades. Marines buy weapons at an Armory or build sentry turrets and siege cannons to assault the enemy. Aliens build upgrade chambers, evolve special abilities and plant traps.

Wow, didn't know it was going to be a stand-alone title. Many hours enjoyed with NS1 on dialup. Was always playing on the OzForces servers, quite a good fun community too. Will be supporting these guys definitely.

Not a bad looking teaser, art direction in the teaser reminds me alot of doom3.

edit : i want to pre-order, but i rekon its gonna be another 20 years before its actually released

edit again : couldn't resist, pre-orded special edition. NS1 is still my all time favorite number 1 half-life mod. anyone got pics of the black armor ?

and, i also think that people who are in the constellation program for NS1 ( IE : Me ) should have got the special edition for no extra cost, bastards!
