Is the leak really that big of a deal anyways? Surely most who use the leak would only be using it to see what the game was like and will wait for the final release. I mean it's very very buggy and partially incomplete.
IMO you would be ruining the experience somewhat by playing the leak right through to the end. In terms of money for the devs, well if the same people obtained the leak in the first place then chances are most of them would probably not be paying for it at final release anyways.

I think most PC games are so bad these days that I couldn't be bothered to pirate them, but I certainly won't be buying anything that isn't highly rated. |

I was actually somewhat undecided on Crysis 2, I quite enjoyed most of Crysis and some of Warhead and now have a machine that can run it full spec so having tried the leak I am now going to actually buy the full version.
So on me it has had the opposite affect. |

Having played it a bit I cant say I'm all that impressed (when comparing it to Crysis 1).
I was planning to buy it before the leak, and still will after having played it.

once piracy levels reach massive levels on ps3, developers will think twice about it...like psp.

That's Jim Sterling, I knew from the second I seen it was a Destructoid article that it would be him.

![]() He makes good, if obvious, points against piracy and then lets childish emotion get the better of him. Why do paying PC gamers have "nobody but themselves" to blame if they're unhappy about the platform? Then claiming that anyone supporting PC gaming is an idiotic businessman...? I can't understand how such articles are not self-edited. So he was angry for some silly reason and that made him write some stupid points in his article. Nothing wrong in that. But surely he would calm down, re-read it and remove the rubbish bits from it before going online? This is what happens when glorified blog writers start thinking of themselves as journalists or credible commentators. |

I must admit, i DID get the game but for testing purposes only.
I don't see anything wrong with that? and i am sure i am going to buy the full version, really does look great! ![]() Unfortunately SLI isn't supported as of yet and the game certainly takes the grunt out of a 480 ![]() also tested on a 8800GT and a 4890. both got romped even at "gamer" level settings, hopefully the full version fixes it up a bit.

Didn't like the first personally, but this makes it interesting!

"Hmm that chocolate bar looks nice. I don't intend on buying it so I will acquire it by placing it in my pocket" If you want something you buy it, if you can't afford it, you save up for it. Anyway, I haven't played the "beta" but I have heard that it is quite fun and the vids I have seen on youtube look pretty cool. I didn't mind the first one (up until the alien's came) so I will probably get this. From what I have heard as well the beta is DX9. The full version had better be DX11 so I have some justification for upgrading my rig

i seen HEAPS of bugs within the game in the first 5 minutes. the fact you're looking at DX9 with no AA or texture addons (looks like crysis 1 with low graphics) DEFINITELY ruins the "crysis" experience. Along with the controls being sluggy and jittery + off the hip shooting doesn't hit ANYTHING Also the LOW and MEDIUM settings are buggy, it automatically reverts to 800x600, so the only way to play the Beta at 1080 is to run maxed out settings. As said before, this leak should be only used for testing purposes.

Killzone 3 has leaked on the net weeks early, with a piss easy way to pirate it on the PS3. Let's wait for the headlines shall we?
*crickets* Oh that's right, it's not for PC. |

it wont be pirated anywhere near the levels as crysis will. and weeks early...its probably gold already, not a beta build. to be expected

Let's not go making assumptions again based on nothing. Killzone 3 simply requires a PS3. Crysis1 & 2 require a crack and a gaming PC. Pretending to know what will happen while relying on a generalisation from the past 20 years is wearing a little thin considering there are 'supposedly' so little PC gamers left, and even less with high end gear.
