Default Does it matter which way you install thermalright 120 extreme HS?

i ask this because upon initial install it presses right up against my ddr III ram just pushing against it slightly

would it hurt instead of going East/West on the board to North South direction as there is plenty of room if i do it that way

As long as the fan on the heatsink is pushing air to an exhaust fan, it will be good..
