Anyone have any info on when an untethered Jailbreak for the 4.2.1 software will be released?

Just wondering if someone can help me out.
Somehow, my 3GS this month has just consumed all of my 750Mb limit in half a month, and I am buggered on how this has happened since Iusually barely scrap over 250Mb.

A little bit pissed at this atm, but I am trying to find out how and why this could happen i.e. app or what apple service? can anyone point me in the right direction to start solving this.

I upgraded as soon as it came out and I don't even see that much of a drop over a day when I use my phone quite a bit doing tethering and blue tooth and the like, I get minimal change overnight to battery levels with wifi on.

Maybe try closing background apps, it could be one of them that's chewing the battery.

Try a proper restore, not just an upgrade, and a new SIM.

Ive had a similar issue check you data usage. My uploads have been through the roof, here is mine for the last 8 hrs. 3G was turned on at 7:45 ish, wireless was turned off at 8:00 ish.

Last month, my total data through 3G was 1.5gig in 2 weeks 100% which broke my cap. See my prev post.

The app is dataman, data manager, gives a nice break down of down and uploads for both 3G and wireless. Doesn't cost too much but worth it.

One thing I don't like is that I can't find a way to log what apps are using data either up or down. That would help isolate my problem. But I'm nearly at tge stage of throwing this 3GS in the bin and going droid.
