Default League of Legends

Quote:
League of Legends is a competitive online game set in an imaginative world. Gamers take the role of a powerful Summoner, calling forth and controlling brave Champions in battle. League of Legends combines the best elements of session-based games with persistent elements of MMORPG's. Enter the Fields of Justice with your most trusted allies as you fight for your right to rule the world of Valoran. There is only one rule of law among those in the league: Winner rules all.

Being a massive DOTA fan, I am very much looking forward to this game. Note this game was created by the original DOTA founder, Guinsoo.

Discuss.

keen for this game to come out too, after the massive dissappointment of demigod.

hopefully this is free of connectivity bugs.

graphically, its not much of a step past the wc3 engine, but that hasnt stopped me from playing wc3 for the past 5/6 years.

I play wayyy to much DOTA i would hate to add up the hours.
And when i get a new game i play it for 10 minutes then go back to DOTA.

And i havent even got into competitive play, that would be a whole new kettle of fish.

Yeah hopefully we can have a similiar (to DOTA) sized Australian community for LOL but obviously this will be predicated on how good the game is...let's hope it's much better than Demigod.

Given the design/gameplay is basically premised on DOTA i'm starting to feel fairly confident about it!

to be honest, demigod is more similar to other aos maps, rather than dota.

there is alot of comparison between dota and demigod but only because dota made aos style maps popular.

that being said, I haven't gone too deep into demigod because I have not ever been able to connect to an online game.

Anyone have any favourite heroes so far? Mine would be Fiddlesticks!

I like how each hero has an ultimate (4th skill just like DOTA) and a passive skill as their 5th ability.

I'm in both, and this game is much more noob friendly.

Indeed. This includes bots as well unlike HoN. The game doesn't look as visually appealing as HoN though.
