Season 1 is up but the servers are down, it seems consistent with every update now, they have to patch the patches. They always do it during our peak hour gaming time too. They clearly don't give a shit about their Aussie customers!

And why do server restarts take 4 hours?

I know, All my mates over here in Perth feel exactly the same. Just the other day the server went busy while we were playing a game. Out of us, i was the only one d/c and tried to get back ingame but was unable to, which meant that my team effectivly won and i got counted as a leaver. It was a flipping good comeback win. We need save replays as an option.

I had heard of a server code that could get past a busy server to try and log me in but was unable to find it in time. I do have it now tho which is a plus benefit especialy when i cbf waiting for the server not to be busy, gets straight past it.

YAY.... need more aussies as friends.... add me 'Bright Spark'

At the server busy page, hit f5 to refresh it, then 'up down left right up up down down' on your arrow keys. I thought it was a joke the first time my mate told me to put it in >.>

The new champ Xin Zhao is pretty fun. Typical first week nerf screams though. His ultimate does seem to have an extremely short CD for its power though.

Haven't had a problem playing against a Xin Zhao yet.

Have had a problem with level 20's getting match made with me, people leaving as teams are finalised, team mates not possessing a clue. People who buy zerker greaves, malady, etc, etc...

Meh, those guys don't bother me that much... cos for the most part, they are receptive to basic leadership (ie, "focus twitch then ashe imo, cho pls save ur silence for katarina, and use it as soon as she spins".

The only ones that piss me off, are the ones that instantly pick some squishy carry at game start, spam "SOLO MID" in chat. Then proceed to feed 10 times before raging everyone and their dog, then leaving. lol. Fortunately, there are very few of those players in LoL, most of them seem to have stuck with HoN.

The LoL community really is much more noob friendly than dota/hon, so don't be afraid to approach those issues constructively, as you are much less likely to get a "lol fkoff faggot noob ****" in response.

Having played on and off for ages, I've only just hit 30, but the matchmaking has treated me reasonably well. The lower levels you get matched with, are generally because they were in a semi-premade of 2-4 people, so their matchmaking value was bumped up a bit, to account for their possible voice-comms advantage etc.

yeah i found the code too late after the game completed.

ive had quite a few or rage quitters and feeders and team mates that run away or tp back to basse after one hit and causing the other team to kill yourself.

Playing ranked-solo 5v5 is a lot more fun than I was expecting I know it is only early days, but everyone seems pretty keen to work together and be positive if theres a bit of leadership shown. There are still some terrible players that make you wonder what happened during the matchmaking, but, for the most part, they are happy to follow kill orders, and *gasp* sometimes buy wards!

Up to mid 1400's now, with I think a 10-3 win/loss. Most games played as katarina (my main), and a few as various others to fill holes in the team.

I just started playing this game and still a n00b at it.
I been sticking with Shen and playing as tank. What's the best items to buy for him? I been getting Heart of Gold, then ninja tabi, then guardian angel. Thoughts?

I get boots dependent on the enemy team make up, but 90% of the time it becomes Mercury Treads.

Your Heart of Gold turns into a Randuin's Omen perhaps one of the greatest items in the game.

I just discovered this game last night with some mates. They are all mid-20 but made some smurfs to run with me.

Quite like it, it's sorta DOTA meets WOW and the matchmaking is fairly good, got my ass kicked a few times to start with but started finding a groove with different characters.

I find ranged attack my preference so far but haven't really played much melee yet. Find I kick ass with Ryze, with a r-w-e-q combo --- BOOM!

Took me a couple games to get used to the equip combo making.

How to play Ryze.

Find enemy. Apply face to keyboard. Kill Enemy. Repeat.

lol, Ryze isn't that bad. He's very squishy and requires pretty good positioning to play effectively due to his short spell range. Very strong 1v1, but extremely gankable.

I don't think I've seen one in ranked yet

Did I not mention I was a n00b?

Also played Sirve and Morgane and quite like Morgane but took a bit more to get used to.
