Guys, you arent as of yet allowed to talk about this outside of the closed beta forums. well its in the NDA you accepted when you installed the game.It seems trivial but its just the way it is, i dont think you would be kicked from the beta though.

Go on the beta forums and we will catch up, we should make an OCAU clan.

I played HON and LOL.. can honestly say I prefer LOL to HON especially if you're DOTA noob like me. haha

LOL invite system is slowing down since
the game should be going live soon either this month or
next month. The devs give away keys on facebook.
Otherwise you can pre order the collector's edition
to get the beta key.

It's more like DotA/HoN/Demigod than anything.

Hmm I was talking more about the style of play.
Interface is a lot more inclusive and easier for new players.
Sort of like all the hardcore mmo people didn't preferred guild wars and
everyone else like wow because it was easy to pick up and more social.

But yeah LOL is a DOTA standalone. Definitely a lot easier to pick up.

Got LOL today and well the art style in game is officially worse than the clips i saw and surprisingly worse than WOW, gameplay wise well it's a dumbed down HON for sure with imo a more awkward menu and interface.

Depends on your DOTA experience, for me having none and getting flamed every 2 seconds in HON wasn't fun. That was when I actually could get into a game that was for noobs only heh.
