Myself, some friends and Matt from here are usually around most evenings - the catch is that we usually play from around 9 pm WA time, which is probably a bit late for most people over east. We use the games.on.net Mumble server - have a look around for MrTrumpet (which is also my summoner name if you want to add me in LoL).

Banshees Veil, is an absolutely amazing item on anyone really, but especially AD carries. As carries position toward the back, their veils don't tend to get knocked off by random aoe crap, leaving it ready to catch that targeted stun/blind/wither that would otherwise get you killed.

In other news, finally cracked 1500 in solo queue last night. Last game before bed, landed me exactly on 1500 heheh.

Just finished playing my first (and likely only) game of the all-champions-free weekend, so my plan to remind you guys that it was on is probably a bit late now. Even if you missed it though, you should have a free four-win IP boost on your account as long as you've played in the last couple of months.

The other thing people might be interested in are the leaked Test Realm patch notes. A month or so back, Riot stopped posting the patches that were going up there but someone got hold of these ones. There's a lot in there, presumably because there weren't too many changes in the last patch apart from the addition of Swain. Of course, this may or may not reflect what actually goes live in a week or so, but it's still interesting to see who's being worked on.

Had some of the worst teams I've ever had in ranked this weekend... it was horrible. Lost 7 games in a row and dropped from 1500 to under 1400... Since I started getting higher, I stopped playing the carry role, and started playing more support... as others seemed to be competent enough... but yeh, seemed to backfire a bit this weekend

Ohwell... clawed back up to 1420ish and called it quits.

I played a few games with Amumu this weekend, see I'd been meaning to try him for a while and never got around to it. First few games on Sat did OK and by the 3rd was pwning.

First game on Sunday, call me Mr Fed. Damn, worst stats in a while.

Wish I had time to play a few more champs, but I am lucky to get 2-3 games a night.

Those patch notes are interesting. The new recipe for soul shroud is interesting. Sometimes I'm back at base and can't afford 1110 for a giants belt, it'd be nice to be able to buy more of the recipe. And looks like their nerfing Morg 7 Galio, will have to play them more b4 then.

Anyways. I've been addicted to Sona for 2 weeks. Haven't played much ranked, cos then I run the risk of not playing as her. I've lifted my win/loss ratio on normal games. I'm around 15 games up. I've only previously ever been 1 or 2 games up.

I've also played around with some runes and stuff. Magic pen, health per level, and cooldowns per level quints & glyphs.
And I start off with a dorans ring as first item. Then build tears. catalyst or mana manipulator depending on who i'm laning with or against.

I mostly had good games over the weekend, didn't bother trying any1 new, as I own all but 6 or so champs. One ranked game i pwned as Morgana, turned out 2 of the enemy team were trying out xin & swain for the first time. I don't know why ppl do that on a ranked game. Patch night! Notes are here if you want to have a read over. Quite a few of the leaked PTR patch notes I linked earlier are included, but not all of them - most notably, Eve's only had a few changes to how her skills work in this patch rather than the full remake going live. In case anyone's planning to play tonight, the servers are due up in ~ 1.5 hours (1 am Wednesday AEDT).

New champion looks pretty good too. I'm really, really glad they remade her given that both from a game and art design (did anyone see the truly horrific art they put out for her sneak preview?) she was pretty weak. There's also the pleasing fact that Riot's gone with a female champion that doesn't have 'boobs' as their primary inspiration for the art design. I'm looking forward to playing her - Morgana's still my favourite character to play not least because I was into her before she went mainstream donchaknow and Lux looks like she plays fairly similarly. Plus she's named after the SI unit of illuminance, and I'm a nerd.

The other key thing about the patch: changes to the stat bonuses runes give you. Interesting partially because of the fact that this could get people who've spent a lot of IP very angry if Riot keep doing it, though a quick look over the numbers doesn't appear to change the fact that armour penetration runes are still a better buy than AD. This is despite the 200% bonus and a decrease in APen.

Hopefully catch some OCAUers on for a game soon - if you're low level, the group I play with have smurf accounts too, so don't be afraid to join us

EDIT: Jumped on to play a game and servers are still down. Looks like the 'server status' page is probably wrong, as the patch notes say 11 am PST (~ 5 am AEDT). Guess there won't be any late-night games for me, so it looks like L4D2 on my end

I was just wondering whether the OP can start setting up a list of all the aussies that play this game, because im sick and tired and frustrated at the fact that there are sooo many leavers, ragers from the us. it would also be great if we could get some proper gaming done with aussies v aussies.
