Should I practice with him or do you think there is a better AP carry? How is Brand?

New char is good fun but his stun combo takes too long to get off since there is a cast delay on all his other offensive spells.

He is very gold dependant, and is very weak 1v1. In 1 2v2 scenario, he's amazing. He's got a solid stun/nuke setup, but I could only ever take off half HP before they got away. If you go 1v1 against anyone non-tankish that's half health or less, you're nearly guaranteed to win

With good CDR it's plausible to get two stuns off in a 1v1 fight. You also generally get to chose who and when you fight, due to his range (not counting ganks/ambushes.)

I agree that he's excellent in a duo lane, preferably with a melee support. However that means your AD carry will be left vulnerable in a solo lane.

I found him to be an excellent solo lane champ, his harass is superb. That might change as people get a bit more used to fighting him.

I've 'won the lane' in every game I've played with him (but things haven't always gone so smoothly in the other lanes, so my overall results have been pretty mixed )

He's a *GREAT* ganker if he runs between top and mid - he often doesn't even have to leave the bush to deliver his damage and stun.

Too early to tell. If you have a general desire to learn how to AP carry (rather than to learn a specific champion,) then I would strongly suggest learning someone else, since this guy has a relatively unique play style. There'll be more to learn when jumping from him to another AP champ, than between most AP champs. For example, most AP carries dip in and out of teamfights as their cooldowns cycle... This guy on the other hand, doesn't even need to enter the teamfight, he can just barrage it from the other side of a treeline if he wants.

He will wreck 5v5 premades who pick Janna etc for support so are able to be poked and not recover. He will be sub par for solo que compared to brand or Annie etc imo

News flash! Shen is best played as a tank. I've been underestimating his passive, which scales off HP. I read about a build on the LoL forums today. 2 Giants belts dodge boots, build into 2 warmogs, atmas, trinity force.

Been trying, but it's a damn expensive build.

I've been getting giants belt first and 3 hp pots. relying on ghost and movement speed quints & buffs to get to top at a decent time.

double warmogs isn't really my style, but double giants belt is working great.

I trolled one game with 5 giants belts. LOL! was leading the scoreboard til the end until jax & brand became OP

I think it was like... 20 games... then it drops quickly to 20-25.. then slowly settles at 11-13

At work so I only got to watch without sound... but a few things I noticed:
1) You're laning Amumu. Now, the mummy isn't as bad in lane as many think; unfortunately this won't be viable in ranked games, but I'm sure it is ok for people just starting out on Amumu.

2) Item build. Boots of Swiftness, Chalice, early game Force of Nature and late(ish) game Rod of Ages are all suboptimal choices.

Switching your order for roa and fon, you'll find that by rushing catalyst you won't need a chalice. Get your negatron cloak (and possibly chain vest) before rylais for survivability. Merc treads, sorc shoes and cdr boots are all a better choice than swiftness

I'm not playing much these days either... but thats just 'cos I reached my goal (gold again), and I'm not willing to set a higher one until I get a decent net connection and a new mouse/kb

I hate this game, its taking over my life.

I don't play anything else but this and at most of the times I still suck.... which makes me rage and want to play more.

I still haven't found a champ that I love and will just stick to that one. I play a new champion nearly every 3 matches.
I can't work out what time of role I'm best at either. I tend to die a lot but I love dealing damage.

Brand is OP, when used correctly (My main atm)

The only issue i have with him is,
1 If everything is on cooldown
2 You are targetted.

Yeah I realise that but I do go back to them so its not like I play a character 3 times and then that's it.

Maybe I should just stick to Anivia for this week.
