Is it just me, or is the SCAR-H a bit of a POS? Spent ages trying to get the last few kills i needed for an upgrade, then switched to the M4, and got 5 kills in a couple minutes, with only the reflex sight upgrade.
EDIT: to clarify, I find the recoil on the SCAR-H to be too much, one shot is on Target, next is a metre above their head.

More technical woes... re-installed Win7 x64 in an attempt to resolve my crashing issues. Installed my BF3 off the DVDs and backed up the Update folder from my previous BF3 install which contains 3.81GB worth of the Patch and Xpack1 folders. Problem is, Origin appears to be ignoring this folder and is trying to download the huge patch all over again... even though it's in the same fucking directory as before
was probably naοve of me to assume it would be so easy to just copy the game assets across and let Origin update itself with a couple of hundred MBs instead of the entire 15GB BF3 content.

thats why its the Scar-H, it uses 7.62mm rounds as has a lot more recoil.
The QZB is my favorite carbine now. Ok i have a really strange problem. Bf3 works fine over Ethernet, the minute i use my wireless adapter i join a server, get to level loading, switches me into the game and it just crashes, no warnings, nothing comes up in battlelog saying i was dropped for server, nothing whatsoever. Cannot figure this one out! |

Depends on your style of play, but the SCAR is useless for sustained fire past medium distance. If CQC is your thing, then I guess it's passable, but the G36 / G53 are far better overall options.

Just change it to single shot mode to engage at range.
