If the support guys are such tards, im sure they're never getting close enough to a great big whopping tank to slap a bit of C4 on the side of it

Considering how hard a tank owns foot soldiers, it doesnt seem like too big a deal.

Have you ever had the "T-90 on ice" experience when trying to manoeuvre around rocks? I get it with the mobile AA as well, sometimes you take a slight turn and they spin out of control.

only really happens with boost on. Unless you get real unlucky. It's not too hard to recover though.

Really, you need this explaining lol

One example off the top of my head...
When you don't have a gunner and your running guided missiles your only defense is the main cannon and sure one on one, it shouldn't be a issue. However when you got javs and rpg's coming from all directions sometimes it is very easy for a support guy to sneak up no matter how good you are. Now I run proximity scan, so often the best tactic is to jump and shoot the bastard when he is close, then jump back into the tank. I hardly think it's far he can respawn back in the safety of his uncap and detonate the c4. He got owned and I don't see why he should be rewarded with a kill.

This ^^

So ridiculous but typical EA/DICE with some of their BF3 ideas. Fair enough if he picks up his old kit when he respawns or someone else picks up his kit after he is dead and then uses it to blow the c4 he placed. But to spawn again after he gets owned and then gets another opportunity to blow it? What a load of crap .

My standard reply is something along the lines of, "That may be, but you're the one who got jeeped. Just saying..."

I get that a fair bit, but always when boosting over uneven terrain, out in the middle of nowhere. Don't think I've ever had it happen during combat.

Re unbalanced maps: makes sense in theory, practice is entirely different, though.

Really? I thought they brought this on the last patch but immediately said they will remove it on the next patch update due to community outcry. I could be wrong though.

C4 probably needs a detonation radius limit, probably of like 300 metres or so

I recall (perhaps incorrectly) reading the patch notes and seeing that they intentionally added it?

If a hand held $50 UHF radio can reach 1km radius with a small antenna...

Nope...

I cant remember, but one of the devs posted on twitter that it was a bug, and would be removed within the next patch.

the first time i had C4'd a tank after the patch, and died in the process, i then proceeded to do a different objective. I died a few more times, did some other stuff, then the tank was back over near me, and i was dreading the likely suicide run over to the tank again - until i spotted a blue explosives sign on the tank in the minimap...
ummmmmm, let's try this...
click, boom, double kill, lolwat

maybe leave it there with the inability to be radio-triggered, so a single rpg near the c4 pack will be devastating

Haha, that Cat guy that was sitting in a 2 player server spamming M-COM plants for eventually 775 hours has been banned at Colonel 98, and he's doing it all again.
