Let me guess. This will be another "tactical" shooter where you spend most of your time shooting at someone across the other side of the map. When you're not doing that you'll be sneaking around controlling some unresponsive, slow character.

Oh, and vehicles.

I can feel my cpu wimpering with expected pain while I watch the preview footage. Might be the point I have to upgrade.

I wonder how long they'll leave the BF2 login server open for once BF3 launches? It's a shame the Project Reality devs aren't planning to mod BF3.

Gonna be on consoles, hopefully really really optimised! But scalable to epic machines. Could possibly need a new GFX card come the end of the year! Has been a couple since I got my current one! Have had no need to upgrade any of my components though!

umm, PC is the lead platform, it has 4 different kinds of AA running concurrently and they have been hinting at a 5th, this is not a game that has beeing constrainted by the current gen of consoles. Dices justification for it is for devloping E.A FPS game engine for next gen consoles.

just go look at the published SIGRAPH pdfs on Dice's web site, there is no way in hell a console is getting close to what they are looking at.

hell they even talk how the game engine has been devloped from scratch with multi gpu in mind.

So Does this run in DX11?

If so I will def upgrade for the gorgeousness of the effects. Looking at the 4GB dual GPU dx11 6990 for around $750 delivered. Seems to be the best card out at the moment! hopefully gets cheaper before the end of the year!

yes it is desgined for DX 11 only, DX11 has auto fall back paths to DX10.1. DX 9 is unsupported.

yeah, I can't be outdated now can I! Primative 10.1 has been good up till now, this is a game changer for sure!
