My second GTX580 for SLI can not come soon enough! Playback is so jerky
Who'd have thought ULTRA on 2560x1600 would need to much GPU power.

BF3 LAUNCH CHANGED TO TODAY

In response to the large amount of players using a Korean VPN today to play Battlefield 3 one day early, EA have sent out an email to all those who bought on origin that they can access the game today instead of tomorrow. This is great news and we can’t wait to see the swarm come on the battlefield. Hopefully this will mean that EA will change the release dates for the rest of the world.

This is ONLY for Digital Pre Orders of BF3

Some people are reporting to not of received the email. If your Regions release was set to be the 25th of October, we encourage you to try starting the game in origin and logging into Battlelog.

So it's only me and Kevlarman who have the Battlelog not allowed to login problem?

I bought the game from Amazon USA and activated with the key from there - not sure if that's related to the issue.

The Good
- Very good looking - graphics are super sexy, particle and light effects galore.
- Multiplayer gaming - Thats really what the BF series is all about.

The Bad
- Battlelog to launch game
- Achievements/Unlocks

The Ugly
- My ability at twitch based games.

---

I miss squad voip and chain of command. It added a great layer to the game when joining public servers. A sqaud of 6 randoms with Voice comms was some of the most fun MP i've ever had.

I do not like the RPG style unlocks and skill ups/unlocks. If I wanted Wow, I'd go play wow. I like to compete knowing the guy shooting at me has the same guns available to him as I have. But with BF3, the more you win, the better guns you get, the more you win. It puts you in a positive feedback loop that can quickly estrange new players.

I dislike Origin/Battlelog, I cant quiet say why yet. But the interface seems clunky, and I don't need my every kill/death broadcast to the world. My real peen is big enough as is, I have no need to supplement it with E-peen.

The gameplay itself is super fun happy times, sexcellent graphics, fun maps (if somewhat spammy or chokepointy) so far. After not getting a single kill in my first 4 rounds, finally started to get back into the FPS swing of things and started to get kills and die less.

It is def. a BF game. 3 people camping for planes at any 1 time. 3 snipers camping for the aforementioned people. Vehicles at initial spawn heading off without car-pooling, leaving impotent soldiers to run the 500m into the actual warzone. Brings back fond memories.

I'm not sure how stable the community will be, I've never played the COD series of games in MP, but there seems to be a bit of a divide on that front. with a few childish insults being hurled about already. although I'm 10 years older than when 1942 was released, so this may just be the 'get off my lawn' talking.

Could EA actually fuck this up any worse?

I hope the game blows me away. It's just a small thing, the release date, but especially for those of us who "trusted" EA and went with an Origin pre-order, the game is already on my computer. Other parts of the world are already playing it. I don't really care about ranks and shit, I just want to play my game!

EA = Extremely Arrogant

Yea, you're right. Still need a US VPN. Hopefully they just change the release date for us as well.

So unlock it and play? Release date differences aren't something new.... nor is getting around them.

EA have said it isn't illegal to do... so get on the vpn or obtain the decrypted exe and go for it.

I most likely will, but the point remains: it is distributed via internet, everyone has the same game, why couldn't they just make a worldwide release date?

EA are retarded.
