Default Extreeeeeme budget headphones

Hey guys,

Im looking for a new pair of headphones, as mine died, and have a strict budget of $50 for a new pair.

I mainly play competitive gaming, but also listen to music. With the GameArena COD4 finals coming up I really need to get some decent headphons.

So I am looking for best possible directional audio, and audio quality in this budget range.

So far I've been looking at the Sennheiser HD 201, Sennheiser HD 201 Gaming (whats the difference?) and the Plantronics Gamecom 367.

Having a mic doesnt affect my judgement as I use a clip-on zalman microphone.

Any suggestions? Also, where should I buy from? Headphonic seem great, but of the 3 I posted above they only have the HD 201 for $46. Pccasegear have the other two.

All help appreciated guys

For audio quality in that range i can recommend Koss ksc-75 definitely worth its money.
Had a pair, broke it, moved on but definitely worth its money.
Bought some off ebay for ~$30 bucks, back in the days when dollar was high.
There's some for $20 + $10 delivered.

Depends on what you need, open headphones in same price range
definitely will always sound better. So unless you need a closed one (say for if
the people you live with gets annoyed) else I'd go with an open one.

HD201's are fine. I bought a pair for my guitar amp, but tried them for music.

They are clear, not over the top bassy like most, reasonable comforts levels which would only improve. Decent build quality. Get them.

I just got em from Tandy, just because it was quicker and warranty is any Tandy or DSE store. Buy other headphone shit from Marcus though.
