Default iPhone Carrier Spread

Hi Everyone.

With today's announcement:
http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/communi...m?feed=generic

I was interested to see which provider everyone has selected as their carrier. I am with Vodafone who i have had no issues with and they have mentioned nothing of a charge for tethering.

I'm with Optus as the moment, but may be moving to Telstra as the Optus reception with the iphone in my area is quite poor...but my previous mobiles never had any issues.

Telstra, as much as I hate the company, they have a good mobile network.

On prepaid, have been for 6 years. I don't like the idea of contracts and I don't use my phone that much that I'd get good value going on a postpaid monthly account

I'm happy with virgin. Get a stack of calls and data, I can pretty much go nuts with my iphone and not get charged any extra (i.e. I have to try REALLY hard to go over). For the price i feel its good value.

Sounds like tethering doesnt cost extra either

Optus are a bunch of assholes. I downloaded and installed the modified Optus profile to enable tethering regardless of optus' idocy. I've paid for the data so I damn well want to use it! >

I blame Apple. I have seen tethering for years on phones, how Apple can advertise it as a new feature and make people pay for the use of there own data they have already paid for. If Vodafone charge for tethering i will change carrier straight away based on principal.

I have a HTC Touch Dual on 3, and I'll check out the 3GS when it's out, and yeah, I'd stay on 3.

Optus for my current iPhone. No other carrier can match their value (at face value!).

Same here, can't beat the value right now, but the 3G coverage is poor...
