Does Mechwarrior 4 (not Merc's, just the original one!) run on XP? I still have the original CD's and my Microsoft Force Feedback 2

Yes. I can get all MW series games running on XP.

This thread is so brimming full of awesomeness I can barely contain my glee. That movie looks really, really good - the feel of piloting a mech from MW2 combined with modern graphics and effects. Way cool.

Nice of them to release MW4 + expansions, too.

Lastly, the thread should be called MechWarrior rather than Mechwarrior 5, as apparently that's what it's going to be called!

or even if they work in a VM... prefer not to get out the old pc from the shed. - wife and all...

This sounds awesome. I loved playing MW2 and MW2:Mercs when I was a kid, I bought MW4 and some expansion packs a year ago but I was disappointed with the gameplay and graphics, plus there were some technical issues with the game or my PC that ruined the experience.

I hope this is as kickass as it seems!!!

just watched the trailer...doesn't look that good. combat looks slow/ almost turn based. fire, dodge behind building, wait for cooldown, fire again...lame
