Default Bad news follows :-{

Keep an eye on it as laying copper into concrete un-insulated will pretty much guarantee a leak at some stage, will either be due to the Cu being corroded from the lime content in concrete or it will burst due to slab movement. Probably should have used a poly pipe in a sleeve instead as they it is a bit more forgiving. Joints in the slab increase the chance again.
Sorry for the bad news, but your Plumber should have warned you of this.

Lime???

i used to work at builing product supplies making batches of concrete and bagging them, all sorts - sand and cement upto mortar, lime was only ever used in mortar nothing else!!

you want sand and cement or concrete depending on your thickness.
Rapid set/quick set has soda ash and plaster added in it and the soda ash is caustic, i have been witness to fence contractors bringing in fence posts that are eatin away after only 2mths in the ground lol it's nasty stuff that quick set.

Hi Guys sorry for the long time between posts and thanks for the interest.

We are building the house as owner Builders so the speed to get this job finished has been hindered by finances a bit. We are nearly there though. Just some tiling, carpet and decking to go!
I am already planning the new water loop. I think Im gonna have to cough up for a couple of the EVGA GTX 580 Hydro cards Dont tell the wife she thinks landscaping is > water cooled GFX lol

Here are some pics. Sorry about the crappy quality iPhone pics

The study. MDF going to the right where the spaghetti is coming out of the wall. Copper loop in the bottom left.

HORSIES!

Your house looks kickarse, gigs. Well done

And yes, GFX > landscaping. The graphics of RL are good enough, it just needs a hue update.

lol thanks Glas yep if I had my way there would be 2 less horses and 2 more cows such a waste of good grass

Thanks for the comments Creekin and Dorz. I thought the pics looked crap. Its really hard trying to get the photos to show what you can see. The house build is over $300k so we haven't really taken any shortcuts, in fact we have over capitalised quite a bit. I'm not too worried as we wont be moving any time soon though....

Yeah sure, "testing" the spa for "leaks"

Looks great, hope it all continues smoothly I'm still in my parents' unfinished owner-built home, it's been over 10 YEARS and it's still not finished

We have heaps of issues getting jarrah down here in Tas it all comes from your neck of the woods. We want to do the deck in Jarrah but man its expensive, about $7 per lineal meter for 16x85mm and we have about 65sqm of decking to do.
