Creative Aurvana Live! is the best sounding out of that list however, the isolation on them aren't that good.

i'm so torn right now, currently using hd 650 and essence one.

love the sound of them, maybe the senns can be a bit faster in RnB and mainstream music.

have a choice of upgrading to hifiman HE 500 or audeze lcd 2 rev 2

which would you guys choose?

Just buy one from headphonic, of you don't like it you can send it back and then try the other.

He's right, they have like a 20 day return policy or something along those lines

Might be easier to buy both so you can compare them side by side then keep the one you prefer.

You can only exchange - they don't refund. So you can't buy both and return one.

Both will need some SERIOUS amping, they are Planar drivers and have really low sensitivity, so need loads of power. So don't bother if you don't have a good desktop amp or at least an extra $500+ in the budget.

I've heard both on the Matrix, and even that can't power them, and that will run any dynamic phone out there. They're both quiet and really anaemic sounding.

So, is anyone making good quality wireless headphones yet? Main use would be gaming/some audio, and I'm looking at spending ~$300.

Sennheiser RS220s.... Jude from Head-fi said they're amazing and claimed that they're wireless versions of the HD600s...... slightly pricy tho and not sure on availability....

You do know Jude owns HF and has become audio's biggest Shillmeister?

They might be decent, but I'm not going to trust it coming from him - especially as he's on a Sennheiser roll ATM.

Decent quality yes, good value for money no.
As Drubbing mentioned - the RS220 are quite nice, but they are $650.
The lower end ones aren't bad, essentially just halve the price to estimate corded headphone equivalent performance.

Euch. Seriously? Wasn't there a set of Senheisers for around $300 that were supposed to be pretty good?

i've pulled the trigger on the hifimans, the build quality concern threads of those audeze's scared me.

what with the woods breaking around the connector, cables snapping at strain relief and the seemingly nonexistent customer service (it is run by 2 guys in a garage)

seemed the safer choice for me to just grab the hifimans and if i don't like them i can return them to head direct for a cash refund.

both headphonic and jaben is out of stock with the he 500 and jaben have no idea when the next batch will arrive, and i will have to wait again since there is 10 guys who preordered before me at jaben lol.

agreed with jude's review, i tried them on jaben and they were amazingly close to my friend's hd600 only problem is it's twice the street price of the hd600s.

if you really need the wireless capabilities its the best one i've heard and can last 16 hours on a charge

Creative Aurvana X-fi. Lower spec than the Live, but seems to have good reviews (4 years ago), noise cancelling, and postsampling may help on low quality tracks. $79
Sony ZX700 - Appear to be an all-rounder. Not much in terms of local listings, but I can get these for $100US whilst in the US.
looking at making a purchase this week (unless I hold out for the sony's). any more thoughts guys?
