Is it worth gathering $90 for that price bracket instead or am I not likely to notice too much of a difference? Something like the Vsonics or something...

Thanks for the excellent website BTW.

Can't be serious? You would use a crap quality YouTube vid for testing? They are 152kbps at best, 128 on normal.

The stream/bit size probably isn't so much the issue, but the quality of compression as well. The are some good "HD" YT vids and audio, but the audio would still be a way off from usefulness as testing.

Compared to the >80mb .wav files, streaming at 1411kb/s that seems pretty laughable.

Hey guys, one of my cousins desires the Astro A40 Wired Headset with Mixamp. I've had this thing myself and I know it's not that flash compared to proper stereo headphones with soundcard. I am just wondering if you guys can help me suggest to him alternatives. He likes to have a headset (headphone with mic). I'm trying the Antlion Modmic myself to see if that will work.

anyone tried the Sennheiser MM550 Travel and know what the difference is to Sennheiser MM 550-X Travel other than the 150 price tag difference

The M2 sound better, the M3 sound better again
The difference is definitely noticeable.
Going from the M1 to the Vsonics won't be a massive step up.

I'm liking the idea of wearing my dt880s in the cold morning but need an amp... Will the ibasso dzero or the e7 suffice for my 250ohm?

Very unlikely. 250 ohm phones and portable amps weren't made for each other. I'd recommend the Matrix M Stage (not portable).

Thanks for the reply - I'm using the ASUS Xonar Essence One at home, works great.

Might look at another pair of cans for portability

I auditioned these at Melbourne central today with my own music on my galaxy nexus phone.

They sound quite amazing with rock and acoustic music for compact headies. A bit too bassy for my likings with electronic music though. Not flabby bass, just a bit deep. Not punchy enough to my likings. Everything else was quite neutral which imo = the best.

Will I buy them? Not sure, I just got my Brainwavz B2 so I might just use these at work and while commuting.

Hey guys looking for a pair headphones for ipod use for my girlfriends sister. Something portable and with a overhead band would be preferable around the 100 or so mark .

Shes 13 and just listens to pop like one direction and that sorta stuff. Thanks guys
