I'll add the Klipsch image S4i in that mix.
Has mic for iPhone as well. With S4 is cheaper but without mic.

I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the word and I am looking for a pair of nice headphones. The only reason I am doing that is I was originally going for a headset and I have learned from these forums that that is a waste of money and I am better off with a pair of decent headphones and a clip-on mic.
I would like something around ~$135 as was looking at the AD400. I mainly play cod4, mw2 and bc2 and I need situational awareness. PS. I own the z2300 and the X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty champion sound card for day to day gaming, music and the headphones will used when I am expressing rage on the interwebs. Thanks in advance |

I'm torn between 2 headphones boths have there pros and cons so just asking for some advice on which one or any another in their price range.
The two cans are the Shure SRH440 and Audio Technica ATH AD400. The price range is under $150 from headphones.com.au. I know the headphones goods and bads but can't decide based on what I would like. I would like to use them mainly for movies and music plus a little pc gaming. I like some good isolation but don't want to lose out on sound sense. (closed vs open I know). And also not sure which one of the above fits movies, music and gaming and rates best for these overall? I like to lose myself in the audio, so how does the AD400 handle outside noise? If it's minimal I can accept it being good as closed headphones for their isolation. Cheers guys |

IMO the AD400 are more comfortable and slightly better sounding, but the SRH440 will give isolation whereas the AD400 will not.

Is buying from headphones.com.au really important? Because amazon ships AD700 to austraila via dhl for A$140. They are not closed headphones and the leakage is quite noticeable. But they are an incredible set of cans.

For a little bit more money you get local warranty from a reputable store. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=15660 |

If you're mainly using them at home I'd go for the AD400's but I can't comment on their isolation but if you're using them mainly near a computer or in your lounge it shouldn't be too loud and isolation won't be a big problem. |
