I was listening to them at my mates house, hardstyle at max volume and i noticed no speaker distortion. The Sub is good for its price aswell. Its very clean crisp bass in my opinion. although it isnt the best 2.1 system out there, for the price they're good. Last edited by carbon_death; 6th September 2009 at 3:06 PM. |

My old set of Altec Lansings sound like they are dead. One of the speakers doesnt work and theres some bad hissing even when the volume is down.
So I need a 5.1 setup for $100-150. Preferably on the lower end. This is pretty much for gaming. I have studio monitors that I use for music/sound design so I don't really to spend another $1000 on speakers. I just want 5.1 so I can hear where stuff is coming from. |

I listen to my music relatively loud, and if you think that the Logitech's don't go loud enough for a pair of computer speakers, you have damaged hearing my dear friend.

My room is too big so the sound dies off, when im sitting in front of the computer its good but when I'm around the room or on my bed it's not very loud or when I'm in the bathroom I can barely hear it.

I still think the Edifiers will provide you with what you want in regards to that.
Look at what carbon_death posted. |

I am sick of my z55d's problems and want my car speakers back to use as... car speakers
I heard (no pun intended) that the Edifier S5/S7 are the best but not sure where to find them for a good price , i am only interested in the 2.1 sets as my days screwing around with 5.1 are over! |

Found this on a older thread thought it might be helpful
Aural Showdown - 2.1 Multimedia Speakers Shootout Was suprised the 730 was the lowest scorer At least my z55d's where not in there, i would of been embarresed. However i really like the actual subwoofer and enclosure of my 5500's but the control pod and amp are shit, dont even get me started on how dull the speakers sound... Wish i could be bothered to build my own system. |

does anyone know why my amp produces "hiss" in all my speakers? It is present with and without input signal. Tried different sets, happens to them all.
