Not sure what you mean by bottom of a tube loop but most people have them to look neat or if there tubing cannot bend around a corner etc..
Get a res and tip it upside down when u drain and shake etc. |

I am getting the XSPC top and res combo.
the 90 degree fittings at the bottom of the tube is meaning like the tube from the CPU to GPU. Off the CPU it is either straight or angled and the tube runs down the the GPU and is connect via a 90 degree connector. That is one example... and all other top to bottom tubes hhave that arrangement. I like the idea of a pull off tube would mean I could leave everything where it was and just drain. I jsut dunno about the connections/fittings. I like the idea of a tap like arrangement as well. |

Thanks for your help. I had some technical issues with the HTPC atm.
I have continued to explore the different parts you can get. It is so hard to get complete listings of parts from manufactures. |

I am measuring up and designing a set up. My sketch to follow.
The big stumbling block for me is the space at the bottom of the case. Placing my 4870x2 video card on the top x16 slot only gives me approximately 11.5cms from the top of my 12cmx2.5cm fan on the bottom of the case. The XSPC top/res is like 20cm and if I stand it vertical there is not room for it. Don't forget I proposed mounting on Un design brackets. I am not sure of a hortizontal mount for it... it is not recommended. Next thought is a straight top and a res in the 5.25 bays. More expense but appears to be the best solution for my case. I was looking at the tops and the reviews are a little dated. What is the best top (with small res) for pressure? EDIT: I think the MCRES-Micro Rev2 Hi-Flo Reservoir is the go. Small and easy to use. Here is my proposal - the first one.
![]() ![]() I am not sure about the tubing through the holes. The TT case has them just bear metal. I think the 1/2" tubes will be tight. I have updated the equipment list, including the fittings. Feedback/advice appreciated. Last edited by Lothar_Wolf; 16th August 2009 at 3:55 PM. Reason: Updated Proposal #1 |

You are not planning to wc the GPU yet right? [edit] do you think that 3 fans will fit under the case??? can u measure that? cause my first plan was to put a res below... then if the 3 or 2 fans depends on your rad... can put below the case. Hopefully the feet of the case are high enough. that would be awsome i think. check it out please. Regards Aeolas Last edited by aeolas; 16th August 2009 at 2:02 AM. |

2 fans can go under the cage. Not alot of clearance between the fan and the floor though.
I went to town as the bracket off the back will hold up to 480. I have decided to go 240 for now. I will only be cooling the CPU and NB. In saying that... I am COMPLETELY open to suggestions. I will consider everything anyone wants to add. I have my first proposal up and I will work on a different second one soon. |
