Default Consolidated Team24 Rant thread

Thread is for general random ventings about F@H in order to release the anger and get back to folding. No discussion herein.

I'll start because I need to feel better.

%@*%!^# GPU2ATI servers go down for a number of hours, then gives one of my cards a dud unit that EUE's and puts that card to sleep. FMFL.

my fkin 285GTX is the only thing possible or folding at a good rate, out of 800 work units my 285GTX has done over 450 of them and it has been running for the least amount of time

my longest running is the PS3 probz has 1 month more F@H time than my GFX card and has only done 260work units

thank god for this 285GTX it has done more work than a PS3, i7(once client smp hates me) intel P D 3GHz, 9400GT and a fkin laptop which does 1 WU per day and then over heats ands shuts down so i gave up on the laptop lol.

my mate gave me his old mac for free and told me to use it in order to convert me and the intel duel core was doing less than my old pent D, and the shocking gfx card in it didnt work with the programs available, so i gave it back to him, the only use i could find for a mac was F@H and it failed at that, but fk F@H makes the back of the plastic soo hot to touch, the only good thing was it was soo small i slotted it in under my bed lol had no space

Just got home to find three of my eight GPU clients finished sending data and now can't get any more work units. I had to restart them but they were down most of the damn day.

Lawrence - get the PS3 off the fold and throw another GTX275 into the mix. Less power, more points. The PS3 CHEWS power like no tomorrow.

Staying on topic - Power bill arrived today. Not nice ($350/qtr, only 2 boxen!!)

Why cant 2x GPU clients give at least 1.5x as many point as 1 client...

At least with 2x GTX260's I'm cranking more points...

That's my 'extra' power directly attributable to me.... not the total bill.

Stinking shipping costs ... USA to OZ !!! Not bad for a letter, not bad for a disk... but try to ship a dang GPU or a couple HDD... you might as well rent a shipping container !!!
