Default Mobo suggestions for T7300

Hi. I have all the parts left over from my HP DV9518TX laptop. The graphics card is dead and I would like to reuse all the parts in a small desktop.

I have two HDDs, 2 x 1GB of SODIMM ram, Slim DVD burner and a Intel T7300.
Any suggestions about what motherboard I could buy (in Aus if possible) to use these parts?
Thanks for any help.

Desky mobo with 965 chipset and 478 pin lappy CPU socket? SODIMM sockets? Never heard of it. Google may though.

DVD will most likely have some whack shrunken interface only used on the laptop mobo. But 5 1/4" DVD burners are like $40 so no biggie.

Re HDDs: you would need some flavour of cable. (would depend whether IDE(PATA) or SATA)

My 2c: flog the parts on Ebay for a bit of cash and buy proper desky stuff. Doubt it would be worth your time hunting and fiddling.

OR
try and find a replacement graphics card (assuming you know 100% that's the only thing wrong and assuming not soldered to mobo.)

Thanks for the heads up BennyG. I was considering selling the parts on eBay but there won't be much cash coming in my way.

The NVIDIA GPU is definitely the issue. It's not dead but as soon as the laptop start "warming up", the video goes dark. The card is soldered to the motherboard, therefore I'm not sure about resoldering it to the motherboard.

The ZOTAC ION looks sweeeeeet...I definitely putting my money towards it if I sell the parts off eBay.

Any possibility of something happening cause you've got one of the dodgy NVIDIA gpus? I've heard of a lot of people getting Dell to replace their dead GPUs/mobos because they know they sold dud parts to a huge number of people. Maybe HP are too?

Some even claim they're getting them replaced free out of warranty as well.
