I've wasted an hour and a half on the phone to dell today, currently still on hold trying to cancel my order....

Just spoke with Dell after 35 minutes on hold...again, contact person couldn't help i asked to speak to the supervisor who advised me that there was no stock locally when it launched and that new stock was supposed to have arrived from O/S early last week and they have not heard anything from the delivery agent (Shanker) about forwarding on the items, they are chasing it up ASAP for me. I told them if they cant get me a definite ETA by tomorrow that ill be canceling the orders.

The 2711 will crap on the 2709 for one simple reason: 2,560 x 1,440 resolution! There's a good chance the 2711 will be my next monitor, dual-screened up with my (relatively) crappy Viewsonic.

I feel for you guys, sounds like Dell have made a real arse out of this.

Solution... Call credit card company and reverse the charge due to not receiving any goods/service? If it can be done that is...

with that phone number i sent you i selected option 3 then option 4 for other enquiries...i swear they purposely turn down their phone lines so you cant hear them aswell...

I just received a call, from the logistics company, Delivery will be for this Friday afternoon!!!!!!

47mins later...
I got put on to a fantastic person that said that it is still in the factory and she flagged the order number to get it out of the factory tonight and she said that she will call me tomorrow with more details

out of the factory!? but they are already in Australia according to the Dell rep i spoke to on the phone yesterday, the carrier just hasn't forwarded them on to us.
