As long as its nothing like the 'rumoured' model (ie: has matte display, more than just vga/dvi connection), then yep!

funny that you can merely make a phone call and order it for $659 over the $899 online price!

Had my U2711 for a year and a half now, recently it has formed clusters of stuck red, blue, green pixels around the right hand side and bottom areas, can be seen in dark/black scenes, very annoying.

Time to call Dell!

Anyone ever had a refund for this sort of thing?

Good luck getting a refund after 18 months. They'll give you a replacement, but not a refund.

Yeah, I didn't bother asking

Got a replacement within 24 hours (A09 revision) all good except it has 1 stuck pixel when trying to show red, stuck on black near the middle, I can live with that! Beats 100's of them!

Anyone know of a working code for more than 15% off?

I cant bring myself to spend $760 (let alone $899) on this when I only paid $650 for a previous 2711.

On closer inspection I now notice a very annoying two tone, half the screen is slightly darker than the other half. There is a perfect line splitting the two brightnesses.

EDIT:

Called Dell again, and they sent me a new one! - they must be out of refurbs.

Issue is it has like 15+ stuck pixels on black.

My U2711 has been fine. Dell are great with their warranty as well.

I know all about Dell, as I work IT support and our work predominately stocks them. Lately their products have been on the cheap and nasty side, prone more often than not ti failure or defect.

Hearing that warranty replacements are mostly refurbs, doesn't make me cofortable when I'm throwing down over $500.
