Have you even read this thread?
I'm pretty sure it's been stated that X58A has been delayed/cancelled. X68 probably wont even come (possibly release this half way through next year if they think they need to).

You gotta ask tho, with the X3360 rig in his sig, should you really be throwing cash out like that?

Thread necro.
Regarding X68. I've read conflicting news from January 2010 saying that X68 is still due for a Q2 2010 release and other rumours that it's delayed till 2011. |

Most likely BS. If you look at Intels roadmaps, the X58 chipset goes on for a lot longer than that.

Yeah should stay like it is until Sandy Bridge stuff comes out next year. That will need new sockets and chipsets.
I wouldn't be surprised to see an intro similar to whats happening with westmere.. Low end first.. followed by 6 or 8core beasts on a new high end socket.. At least 1yr from now. A good X58 s1366 system is good for a long while yet

. . . what, you have actually got them to answer the phone ?! I have a 10% record on phone calls being answered and 0% return on email enquiries (always for simple stock checks). As much I like MSY prices, you have to go there with your eyes open and expect no support and good chance of no stock for the attention grabber items (eg. cheap 58XX cards).

Intel has always made you buy a new mainboard when they launched new CPUs. With Sandy Bridge you need a 6 series chipset. The "future proof" argument has never worked with intel |
