Plus one. I used an Ironing board for a while.

Then I just got 2 saw horses from down stairs with a plank going across.

That's it there.

But now I have a 40". 32" TV was too small for 2 player.

Ghetto fantastic! Don't know how you can handle split screen. I have been trying to get a rennsport wheel stand but stock is impossible to find, sturdier version of the wheelstandpro

Hey ! that's similar to what i had before i built my steel one.

Had some high up chairs (breakfast stools? whatnot), i laid MDF using both chairs to hold it up. Ghetto fantastic but it worked!.

Then again, cockpits are great, if you spend the time to plan it you could make it all fold up. (that was my original plan, but just wanted to build and play with it, so i didn't do it)

Here's my old thread from waaay back in 2005. I still only have a driving force pro, but also works fine with the 360 wheel. Got the ps3 slim now for GT5 hopefully out before the end of the year, but forza 3 will also tide me over.

Anyway, just as mshagg said in the first reply, just get one of these saw horses. I think this is the best solution for the price

Hehe how bout that eh, I cancelled my bigpond account years ago and the pics are still there!

so anyone has the wheel stand pro?
Thinking getting this as I've never played racing games with steering wheel before, so guess it's good for starting point.

Looks completely similar to EDS1 but more expensive, might just get EDS1. I never play racing with wheel nor I play racing much. But I've got the urge lately to race

How about one of these-

I reckon it'd be the best option if my wife would let me buy one and not purchase a real car!

Made this using 4x 600x900x16 sheets of MDF at $13 each. The basic frame can be made with 6 cuts with a jigsaw and the whole thing should slide right up to most couches.

With some routing and painting it looks like this.
My design was based on this guys rig. http://www.cnw.com/~lavinrac/carseat/258.jpg

The base is carpeted, it has a cup-holder, and the pedals are held in place with 4 upside-down rubber door stops.

Note, some of these co-ordinates are relative to other points, should be easy to figure out, each square is 50mm
