Always felt wrong playing GT5 with the small go-kart wheel of the G25 - took a bit of the realism out of it, so I got a few mods for it.

- Custom steering wheel mount
- Extended paddles
- Knockoff Momo "alacantra" steering wheel.

Nah no Pedal mods. I am really quite happy with the rest of the setup.

One negative with my new setup is now I don't have any steering wheel buttons.

Unfortunately no because the custom mount I used does not have a hole in the middle where you can thread the wires through, if not I would've hooked up at least one button to the steering wheel's horn button.

I actually wanted to buy off this Chilicoke guy originally.

For the paddles, it says on his website: Both sizes will be back in stock shortly. Please email for estimate on availability

So I emailed, but got no reply. No reply, no sale.

do you feel the extra distance affect the steering effort (I guess it would be easier to turn since you have more torque on the wheel)

Yes, but I appreciate the change in effort because it's now more like a real car.

The other thing that has to be done after fitting a larger wheel is you need to up the force feedback settings - they are understandably less strong now that the FF motors have to deal with a bigger/heavier steering wheel.

That's why I'm glad my GT5 saves are backed up onto the cloud (Playstation Plus).

Would kill myself if I lost my GT5 progress.
