I don't have a Steam account or anything but I was wondering - if i create one and purchase it on my laptop when my new PC is built can I simply download and install the deluxe edition onto my PC or download two copies, one on each?

I couldnt find a download file size either

I have steam installed with all my games on 3 computers, no problems, just can't play online games on more than 1 machine at a time.

Well if they can handle it the way LOTRO was I will be happy with that. I am guessing there is going to be not a lot of content to begin but with the whole Star Trek universe available there is so much content they can fill this with as they go along.

I would love to see a big world event like the Borg invasion or something like that further down the track

Any ideas on a way to preorder this that will get me into the open beta but allow me to cancel if i dont like it?

Dont particularly feel like paying $60US to trial a game.

Meh then wait till it's offically released and trial it then. The point of giving early access to open beta is for those that have supported the company, give them something extra.

The thing is, if the game is good then I want to have the preorder so I can start playing straight away, reserve my names, get the preorder bonuses etc.

Meh, why is everyone expected to support a company without knowing what they are actually supporting.

I am happy to buy the game if it is any good, but I have been burnt before by too many fail mmo's to be willing to spend money on one without so much as seeing what the game plays like.

And also the point of an open beta is not to be a bonus for people who support a company, the point of an open beta is meant to be for a final stress/bug test before the game goes live rather than making people pay to play a buggy game. It just seems that these days the open beta has been turned in to a marketing ploy instead.
