Default Upgraded, And now slow.

Hi,

i have upgraded some of my pc parts and finding it great in the graphics section and slow in booting, and loading games As well as multitasking.

Here are my specs!

MOBO: EP45-UD3R
CPU: INTEL E6750 @ 2.7ghz
RAM: 2gb dual, Corsair
GPU: Geforce GTX 275
PSU: 550W

I am thinking it is either the Cpu or ram, (thinking both)

But don't know what to look for or what is good!
Any opinions.
New parts were MOBO, GPU. about 3 weeks old.

thanks
Mitchell

Another 2gb of ram coudn't hurt, but if it's slow in booting and loading, that would indicate the hard drive. Do a fresh install of windows and see how that goes.

Might be a stupid question but have you installed all the motherboard drivers?

DDR2-800 or DDR2-1066 would be fine.

The DDR2-1366+ thing just means that the mainboard can handle RAM at those speeds. Since no manufacturer has ever actually made RAM that fast (I don't think they've gone over 1333MHz, and they may not have even reached that) this is largely irrelevant.

What model was the HDD? A lot of the cheap 1TB drives now are 5400RPM. These are still reasonably fast, but it might make the difference between a 'responsive' system and a 'non-responsive' one.
