I don't know if any of you are old enough to remember Super Cars and Super Cars 2 on the Amiga? (was it out on ST also?) I was a tad obsessed with it to be honest and used to play it for hours on end.
Just found this cool video showing an entire play through and it made me want to dig out my Amiga and get playing it again - alas my Amiga is now in the great computer place in the sky. May have to look into an emulator - wish they would bring one out for the iPhone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWzlO7HkF3w I never really gelled with racing games where you drive like real life (Gran Turismo, Forza etc) and always loved that top down look - to be honest it's probably cause I'm much better at adjusting the car on screen rather than worrying about gear changes, dirt, clutter on the track, speed, braking and all that jazz Plus you got rockets on your car!! Now what got me thinking about this was that sometimes I work with Toshiba on projects and they just launched a little web game with the top driver getting a laptop, tv and some tickets to V8 and it uses the same Super Cars look down. http://www.testdrivetoshiba.com.au/ I can't win cause I work with them on occasion but my top score was 275,539 I should also point out that I'm not nearly as good as I remember!

I remember playing this game on some random arcade machine when I was about 4 or 5. So basically 20 years ago. Wasn't very impressed with it at the time. Still nothing has changed
