i finished the survival map, barely, on day 72 and only had 3 buildings left, but i got there, i have like 20 heroes holed up in the castle resting too cause they had nowhere else to sleep : - )

upgrades to give heroes more abilities make a massive difference, as does arcane shop

There are so many ways you can approach that mission

I want to make the mission go forever.....

Finally managed to do it without losing a hero or a building.

I kept my initial buildings spread out with the hope that peasant houses would be built between my guilds and my castle.

Fighter's guild West, Healer's guild East, Marketplace south and then a Rogue's guild South East. I left all the initial lairs alone and stuck an explore flag near the south trading post. when that's visible, i built a trading post which cleared the fog around the south ogre lair. Then cleared out the other lairs while building another Fighter's guild North West and then another Healer's Guild North East. Only had to deal with 2 ogres. Cleared out the local lairs while getting lvl 1 blacksmith trained in swords, heavy and leather armor. Mage guild between the two Healing guilds which paid off as friendly healers would always be around when the mages fought rats. Explored north west for the trading post while going for dwarves. Stuck down a trading post and an alchemist (good for gold, didn't actually purchase anything for it!). Then consolidated my trading posts with dwarven towers and stuck down guardhouses at good intervals for my taxmen.

It was pretty easy from there out.

Question

A couple of reviews I've been reading indicate that this game gets repetitive quickly, is this true?

same for any game, they all get repetitive, but if you like the style of gameplay, then the more of it you get the happier you are

A bit. But it's still enjoyable and the campaign is pretty good. A random map generator would have helped, but meh you can't have everything *shrug*.

Got this on the weekend, so far I am loving it.

Its different, lightharted and good fun. Provides enough of a challenge as well.

I'm not too far into it yet but it only seems to be getting better.

not being able to continue playing a map after you complete the quests is a pain in the ass!

have to remeber to save the game next time before you trigger the quest completed switch...
The first game was more sand boxey in that regard

I'm giving away 5 copies of Majesty 2 by next monday, might be worth a look if you can't shell out the money for it.

I didn't realise how much money you make from trading posts! I think I'm up to the fourth mission. I just built some ancient towers or something and now I am hunting a mage who should be dead. Good fun so far

ZOMG Glasnt won a copy!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH! This totally has cheered up my week, and I had such a CRAP day yesterday too. I got fined by Sydney Airport for picking up a friend from the Departures zone for $132.

BUT THIS FIXES EVERYTHING!

Thank you Glasnt! Thank you Gamer Limit!
