+1. Completely agree loved looking for ingredients and mixing concoctions, hope there are more plants in the next one.

Graphically its looking pretty polished right now, any word on day/night cycles?

Hope it has seasonal weather (or at least weather patterns), also would be great to have a own-able home to store stuff.

I'm getting excited about this but I really shouldn't as it's still almost a year away

The shield sign when upgraded with a few "opponents take damage when they attack" was funny to cheese practically any fight. Just stand there whilst everyone stabs themselves to death

I really like the dark, gritty looking theme of The Witcher. I still havent had a chance to play the first one but i will hopefuly check it out soon.

Yeah, the only downside with the Witcher was that it was so damn depressing.

Adultery, poverty, drug abuse, rape, murder, coercion, treason, spite, haunting ghosts, corruption and greed everywhere!

Sometimes I found it a bit hard to keep playing but the ending was well worth it

you did sorta in the 1st one, one of the final chapters, with the farm feilds and very witch looking creatures roaming, in that same area there was a quest you could complete which got you your own house, though rather pointless as it was only useful for that chapter.

but yeah anyone that has not played the original should hurry up and play it.

Wow I'm surprised you haven't killed yourself yet (no offence intended). That's nothing you wouldn't see anywhere outside your house.

True, but the level of maturity in this game just took me by surprise. It's the first time I've played a game that has delt with those issues all in one. Which was a nice change of pace from the console garbage that is coming out now

Im really surprised at the lack of info out there on this game at the moment. Judging from how popular the last one was you would think all of the gaming sites would be all over it.

Have just started playing the first one after seeing news of the second coming out. Bought it on Steam ages ago on one of those sales but never played it...

Is there any way to fix the horrid stability? I've only got about 2 hours of play time and close to 10 crashes already... I like what I've seen so far of the game, but damn, I can't keep playing if I need to hit save every 2 minutes so I'm not losing progress all the time.

I haven't experienced ANY crashes at all. What's your specs?

Geralt is a Witcher, his only home should be Kaer Morhen

The whole amnesia thing at the start of the first game was a very convenient way of introducing the player to everything, but it seemed.... very lazy. I hope CPDR find a better way to kick the next game off. I'm also looking forward to seeing what the new engine can do. A lot of the cutscenes were really let down by the crappy Bioware engine they used, although it did look very pretty.

Also, if you liked the world, read the books the whole thing is based, The Last Wish and Blood of the Elves (and a whole lot more if you can read Polish... or French or Spanish. Or Russian. Anything except English...). A lot of backstory for the characters and references you see in the game are established in them. The intro movie (the fight with the stryga) is the first chapter from The Last Wish, for example. But whatever you do, don't watch the Polish series they made of it (The Hexer) or the movie, which is the entire series chopped into 2 hours. It's widely regarded as poop, so don't bother.

I run a QX6700, 4Gb RAM and GTX280. The game runs fine but will randomly just kick me back to the desktop.
