Mine usually consists of:

- water
- powerade
- muesli bars
- mixed nuts
- apricot delight
- vegetarian pizza come dinner time. Why vegetarian you ask? It has no meat, and thus I don't have to worry about it the meat going funky overnight meaning I can pick up a slice the next day care free.

It doesn't have any real staying power in keeping me awake but I don't feel like the bottom of a Cocky's cage in the morning.

Jerky is one I'll really have to remember next time, didn't think about that.

no id agree.

Im all for "hey we're at a lan, snacks time", but you still gotta have a wide assortment of nibbles.

Having the chips n nuts, choc is great. But you need some other savory stuff to break that sugar n salt up.

Also, like Chilled said you have to have a planned stop at some point for sanity sake to eat a full meal (even if it is a greasy one). A satisfied stomach does wonders for concentration

There is definitely plenty of room at our lans for fat foods that's for sure!

When i used to lan. I used to take:

Coke (caffine)
Chips
Chocolate bars

Anything else is too messey and takes too much time away from gaming.

If its a long, overnight LAN I always took a toothbrush and paste! May sound stupid, but at 5am after eating junk for 18hours straight, a fresh mouth really is refreshing and gets you through the remaining hours feeling good

We provide the following for purchase:
  • Mars & Snickers (see local confectionery disty & buy a box)
  • Cans of Coke (slabs from BigW)
  • Usually some sort of alternative softdrink. Solo & Solo Lime, maybe Sunkist. Grab the 30 pack of cans when on special
  • Chips - I like the Red Rock Deli multipacks
  • Usually I have some sort of juice available too, as well as bottled water.

Depending on venue, we provide a BBQ for lunch and Pizza for dinner in entry fee.

As for going to Lans, I usually try and buy drinks there to help support the day, I know how much it helps. I usually take a few packs of chips & some sweets to keep my occupied otherwise.

And I think I have found the greatest Lan snackfood ever: Always Fresh Grissini. I love the Rosemary & Sea salt. Once I open them, I just cannot stop eating them. Woolworths/Safeway stock them.

Strange how despite Mountain Dew not being caffinated in Australia it has become a staple by many gamers.
