Can anyone explain how (if) 2k10 improved on 2k9 gameplay, this is the most important thing for me. Based on the 2k10 demo it seemed like a step back, but i may be mistaken, anyone care to elaborate on the gameplay side of things?

I can't really say its an improvement, to me 2k9 was already really good (probs my favourite basketball game).
The only thing which I can say is better in 2k10 is that the 3 point shooting seems a little toned down (but then again you could just adjust the sliders in 2k9).

Also I was really excited about the my player mode, but its still broken

Can anyone educate me a bit more with trades and drafts?

I'm still in the middle in my own first Association season and I'm assuming the NBA Draft is coming up where you pick players right?

If you have a pick, is that a 'free player'? Or do you still pay the contract? And is there a way to know what is the order of the picks that the teams have? I might try and trade some players to get a good pick.

Also, can anyone recommend me a rising star?

This is my current team:

Center: Dwight Howard
Power Forward: Omeka Okafor
Small Forward: Tracy McGrady
Shooting Guard: Shannon Brown
Point Guard: Brandon Jennings

Subs: J.R. Smith and some other randoms

Note: Forgot to say I'm playing a fantasy draft with the Mavericks

i havent played the association mode, but chances are you get a higher pick depending on what your record is. so if you have a shitty record, you will get a hgher pick than if you had a good record?

thats in real life, not sure about 2k10 though

What exactly do you mean by 'record'?

EDIT: I should do a bit of research before I type haha.

NBA Draft Lottery
Main article: NBA Draft Lottery

The NBA Draft Lottery is an annual event held by the NBA in which the teams who missed the playoffs in the previous season participate in a lottery process to determine the draft order in the Draft. The lottery winner would get the first selection in the draft. In the current rules, 14 non-playoff teams participate in the Draft Lottery. The lottery is weighted so that the team with the worst record has the best chance of obtaining higher draft picks. The lottery process determines the first three picks of the draft. The rest of the first-round order of picks is in reverse order of the teams' win-loss record. The lottery does not determine the draft order in the second round or the subsequent round of the draft.
Okay so that makes sense. How come when I trade, I start off with 2 picks per year? Does that mean it goes:

1. worst team
2. second worst team
3. third worst team
4. worst record
......
......
......
x. best record
-------------------------
[THEN 2nd PICKS repeat in the same order]?

Bit confused about that

Anyone know if it's possible to select East/West or custom teams when playing a friend online? PS3 version.
