Funcom'd.

They'll fix the broken missions in about 3 months, the fix will be to make them auto complete when you accept them.
The same patch will break a whole bunch of other totally unrelated stuff, which they'll explain on the forums are not broken elements but "new features".

I've only found two missions that aren't working so far (something wicked and one other), but just switching to another dimension/server has fixed them. Seems mostly to be a result of lots of people interacting with the same object that's causing issues.

Haven't had any other problems so far, although I notice the marketplace/auctionhouse is disabled at the moment - all in all very smooth early access launch

It's pretty awesome so far - only annoyance I have is with the lackluster character creator - but thats no big deal really.

Yeh it not bad fun in a casual sort of way. Dissapointed with character creator too, and the general look of the toons, very average looking with not much detail. I'm still unconvinced that its worth a sub.

Rolled Dragon on cerebus, currently dual wielding pistols with a small heal/shield as secondary.

Bought this for me and the gf to keep us going till GW2.

Lots of positive feedback all over the web on this one. Hopefully it lasts us longer than Debacle 3.

Dragon

Quote:
The Dragon faction are an ancient group originating in China. They are highly intelligent and philosophical in their work, with their logo resembling the traditional design of a dragon head. The Dragons believe in chaos and only through the natural chaos of life, can the world be in harmony. There can be no fixed structure or territory and so the most mysterious of secret societies have been broken up only to rebuild itself once more throughout time. The rebuilding starts with the silent monks striving to find the order's new leader, always a child who they will guard fiercely. The order uses a variety of mental and martial arts to fight its enemies. Lactation Korea, Seoul.

Just started it up today, don't mind it so far but I'll save my full opinion for later on in the game. I enjoyed AoC up until lvl 30 then the lack of anywhere to quest killed it for me. Not much of a Korean grinder type.

So negative mate Game seems pretty polished considering their track record, in two days of solid playing I haven't come across any bugs yet.

Easily the best looking MMO out there atm, graphics/art/setting are pure awesome, only my first few days but am hooked atm!

The first play for an hour or so totally baffled me and I was regretting the impulse.

Today I rolled a new character and went blade and elemental and took the time to understand the skillwheel. I loved the theory crafting and flexibility in Rift to change your role and I think TSW has expanded on this again with a really interesting story and excellent graphics.

Looking forward to playing this and hoping it doesn't turn out like to be shite like SWTOR.

Maybe they've got their shit together? How about we pretend AoC never happened until they start fucking up.

Yeah mate I'm loving it also... I suck at puzzles so I probably spend more time looking for clues in google than actually playing but otherwise it's fantastic.

What faction did you choose?

I know, but this game feels far better at launch than AoC did even 12 months later. Only come across one bugged quest so far now

Templar on Huldra server. Big fan of all the different builds you can run also, should make PVP a lot of fun!

Dragon on Huldra
I haven't tried PvP yet, current goal is to get out of Kingsmouth and get some decent gear

I almost feel like rolling a Dragon as they appear to be well outnumbered atm on that server.

Yeah, I'm playing Templar on Huldra and we seem to hold Fusang most of the time (and if not us then the Illuminati have it). That said, I've played a few times when its been mostly empty and had some nice ~5v5 skirmishes with dragon groups. Not really sure how big an impact faction imbalances will have given that everything outside of Fusang is essentially single server though.

I'm hoping to try some more of the dungeon missions this weekend, I'm near the end of savage coast and have only tried Polaris once (which didn't end well). Hopefully I can go back now with better gear and cruise through the story in the first couple instances.

I think my favourite puzzle so far (besides the epic investigations in kingsmouth town and the themepark) was the signal tower at the airport:
Spoiler below, highlight to read:
As a result, I now have an app on my phone that converts audible morse code into plain text which I'll probably never use again :P
