Default Cheapest 20"+ 16:10 LCD in Adelaide?

Hey, just curious where I can buy two 20"+ 16:10 LCD's in Adelaide for a cheap price. Thanks.

Preferably less than $250. If there are none, got any reccomendations for dual monitors that are LCD and 20" +?

Don't take this the wrong way, but you would be silly buying a 20" 16:10 screen...

Buy a 23.6" 16:9 screen.

They have more horizontal AND vertical area, more pixels, better (newer) panel and they are in stock everywhere and at good prices.

Ah ok. Just that I hear everyone raving on and on about 16:10, I thought it'd be great.

So pretty much the best two screens for dual screening, less than $250 each.

The usual suspects...

AOC, Acer, Benq, Viewsonic are cheap. There is also Samsung.

You can get these from computer stores or retail chains (office works...).

Under 250 should not be a problem..

Here in perth I saw the Benq 23.6" from my favourite PC shop for just $225...

The Acer X233 is likely the cheapest you will find. They have a cashback as well.

Its a matter of personal preference.. I was always a fan of 4:3 and 5:4 (square) monitors, but now i have a 16:10 panel, and its ok i guess, but 16:9 is just rubbish aimed at people who want fully sik "full HD". Too wide, and 1080 pixels high is barely enough for me.

If you want a 16:10 20" or 22", look for ones with 1680x1050 resolution. If you want 1920x1200, you probably have to go for a 24" screen. I think there was an odd 1920x1200 22", but i think they would be hard to find.

Rofl, 'fully sik'. Nothing wrong with your opinion, but saying they're rubbish because you don't like them is pretty silly. Personally I like the extra width, and when I got these last year (255 each) I would have called anyone crazy who went otherwise for their 'fully sik' extra 120 pixels for another 1-2hundred dollars BTW they're really good for movies, esp 1080P blu ray ones, nothing like 1:1 pixel mapping and no black bars (on the few movies that actually do that).

Back on topic, if you're near an MSY, and want cheap monitors, these seem to fit the purpose:
23” 5ms DVI Acer X233 HB“$182 after $39 Cashback”. Bear in mind it's the 16:9 ratio (1920x1080).

we've bought 2 of em, excellent monitors for the price. getting the cashback is a bit of a PIA but it ends up in your pocket eventually.

It's possible to run 2 screens on a 9800GT right? Got some friends trying to tell me otherwise.

Well, I ended up going with this monitor and it's great. Just curious, does anyone know how to run a dual screen set up with this screen (1920x1080) and a CRT (1280x1024) ?

Thanks.
