I picked it up from the shops today, can't wait to get home and play it - I've heard good things about the MP.

I'll have a good run of it tonight, and then if there's anyone keen for a bit of MP Friday night let me know.

I'll probably be on later tonight (after Top Gear and Man Vs Wild ) if anyone feels like a blast.

I'm only like level 13 or something, so really not that far into the game yet. Happy to do any of the missions.

Man I'm seriously getting addicted to this game! MP is a ton of fun, much much much better than playing single player.

I suspected that they'd likely release a ton of DLC for this, and I've just learned that the first one is already on it's way!
"The Zombie Island of Dr Zed" should reach us by the end of the year.

Is anyone from OCAU interested in making a pack of the main 4 characters, from level 1, to be played only with the guys from OCAU in that pack of 4? would need 3 people who can play during the week after about 7:30... I can't do weekends.

It's great that you can have multiple characters, but I find the game unbalanced if you don't play at the same rate with everyone on your team.

I've played all the characters, a team of each one would be really balanced, as each one have good powers that contribute to the team.

I've just finished the game with a soldier yesterday, so might be keen to go through again as a Hunter or something.

Alternatively, what about doing the second playthrough? That way enemies are like level 35+ ?

I've played the hunter through the first and second playthrough.

It's not about which playthrough, it's about building a squad of characters with people from OCAU... to start from the beggining and go right to the end... and then go through playthrough 2.

The only problem I've found with this game is matchmaking with 4 players. It's all well and good to do a quick match, but I hate getting paired at level 10 with 2 level 40's and a level 8... it throws out the entire difficulty curve.

Rarely do I get a game with people my own level.

I've been playing with a few guys from OCAU who've been ~10 levels higher than me [waves at n2o], and it hasn't been too bad from the low characters perspective.
The enemies do get harder, but not by much.

I've also played through with guys on the second playthrough who were 20 level's higher than me... THAT was a challenge! Some of my bullet hits weren't even registering damage
Gotta say though, awesome for lvl'ing up. I just try to stay alive and all their kill net me 5000-30,000 XP each. I think I went from level 21 to 29 in about 30 mins just killing skags!

Anyway, point is that the game is actually pretty clever in the way it handles the level difference. If you started a team with 3/6/7/8 you'd probably find that they all hit level 10 at around about the same time.

I picked this up yesterday, and im absolutely loving it.

Unfortunately though, this morning when i went to do another mission, tried to load up my save game (lev 16) and its corrupt. Looks like im starting from the beginning again. But i dont mind i think ill be able to smash through it easily.

How does online work? I was a bit reluctant to get on because i wanted to level my char to maybe 20 or so before i start.

Online is MUCH better than solo.
Other than a couple of 48 codes that I used for GOW2, this is the first game that I’ve actually bothered to get a Gold account for and I haven’t regretted it at all.

The game gets a little harder the more people you have play, but you’ll find overall it’s probably still easier than doing it on your own (especially the >lvl 25 missions).
It works out difficulty/missions based on the player that initiated the game. So if you wanted to complete missions with another player who is, say, lvl 30 then you’d need to create the game and invite them to play.
Otherwise, you could always join a group who is at a higher level than you… You’ll probably die a LOT, but you’ll get massive experience for their kills

I was a level 23 and was playing with a couple of level 45 guys. I barely did 1-2 hp damage even with headshots, but everytime they killed someone I was getting ~5000-30000 xp. Went to level 29 in about 30 mins

to be honest, first play through a bucket of fun but now im finding 2nd play through some what a drag

maybe i've had too much borderlands for the month, i'm back into Batman:AA on hard difficulty
