Default poor mem bandwith sandra result for i7

my system is as follows

i7 920 cpu
asus x58 deluxe mb
geil 7-7-7-20 12800 triple chan 6 gig memory

my question is why is this result low when compaired with other systems that are not as good. Would it be something in my settings?
