More of a what to buy thread.

Anyway, the strider 1500W is a monster that will take and cater for anything. Well reviewed.

i noticed this one mentioned in one of the linked reviews of the silverstone

http://www.megaware.com.au/index.php...94c3a0a8a45539
the silverstone at 348$...pretty good price considering its power rating...and its 80+ silver efficient.

nice pick

The "old" Antec Truepower Quattros are pretty crap, they make a HELL of a lot of noise.

This new "OC edition" would have to be dramatically different\better that the old ones if it's to compete with the HX-1000, Revolution 85+ or SS striders.

My vote goes to the SS Strider 1500W, any reason the Enermax isn't on your list?

No it doesn't.

If you don't buy hardware that someone has had an issue with, you would never buy anything.

There a a few of us here that have the classified + revolution and we don't have any issues at all, infact it's the best and quietest psu I've ever had.

Go with either the revolution or silverstone, they both make the HX1000 look like a toy.

"Look like a toy" is a bit of an exaggeration, the HX is still very close to the Strider and Revolution in terms of efficiency and voltage regulation. They are starting to show their age a little and the CWT PSUs are all crap if you want to run an inaudible system, but they are still extremely solid 1000W PSUs.

I'd say a HX-1000 makes the current Antec Quattros look like toys.

Any idea on who the OEM is? If it's fundamentally a 1200W Signature by Delta I'll be extremely impressed.
