Default EeePC 701 Win XP recovery CD?

So I have me a little 701 Eeep here, but it didn't come with a recovery CD (second hand purchase).

Would anyone be able to duplicate and ship an XP recovery CD for one of these? I've got my own key, just looking for a copy of the disc.

I'm happy to send a disc and a pre-paid envelope.

Thanks guys.

Anyone?

Failing this, does anyone know where I can download the ISO without resorting to a torrent site? I haven't seen anywhere on the Asus website...

You can use a normal OEM copy of XP (with your Asus key) if you've got it and then download the drivers from the Asus website.

I'm fairly sure I've got an OEM sp3 install, I was hoping to avoid the driver chasing business.

I've actually got a USB dvd drive (got fed up with playing with USB loads a little while back, haha) so that's not going to be a concern.

So the XP install on the little 4gb SSD's isn't a cutdown version at all by default?

Use nLite to cut out things you don't need from the install. I did this and dropped the install by 1/3: it all helps on the small drive.

You can add drivers too, not that I've ever bothered...
