This was shot on a bunch of donated film from Ronza. The camera and lenses were borrowed from Takumi, and the light meter from my friend Adrian. Essentially, I owned none of this.
This is Ektachrome 64, 120 slide film expired August 1995. |

How can film be dead? Honestly? Makes you want to shoot decades old film all the time.
Any heavy pp on this?

Film is never dead! (before I try shooting with the Vericolour).
On the scanning software I let it colour correct. Then on some I did a slight colour balance. Then the usual scanning stuff I do, 40 on the USM, and sometimes an auto tone if the colour was off. But nothing much to it. Essentially all the PP was to make it look like how the slides look to me, as the scanner seems to get the colours and exposure quite wrong on some of them. |

Wow, it still looks amazing for a film expired well over a decade ago! My favs would be 2 followed by 3 and 4.
Btw, would the result still be the same if the film wasn't expired?

Not sure about the Ektachrome, on Flickr people process it so many different ways it ranges from a saturated Velvia look, to a subdued Portra look. But I have to say I do like the look of it. Let's hope the other 2 rolls have kept as well as this one.

I'm with you - Cannot quite figure if its the processing, the detail, DOF or colours, but they all look great.

I would suggest it is the large format camera setup that gives it that dreamy look with a magnificent depth of field.

#2 is definitely the pick for me as well. Contrast and the depth of those greens is just awesome.
