Default Disabling pop-up blocker for IE6 inside Citrix Metaframe XP environment

Hi guys, I've got a requirement to disable pop-up blocking on a website that one of my users accesses through Citrix.

I logged into the Metaframe server and added the website to Trusted zones but it still blocks the pop-up for the user. I have IE6 options disabled so the user can't change this setting from their login.

I've also added it into the registry:

REG ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\In ternet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\globalview.adp.com" /V * /T REG_DWORD /F /D 2

Am I doing it right?!

Try logging in locally on the metaframe box as the user and setting the options.

They should stick.

If you change it as Default user and recreate their profile it will stick - can be a pain in the ass to recreate the profile so it may not be worth it

You can set a list of sites which are allowed to use pop-ups in group policy too.

I've got the Internet Options tab disabled for users at the moment but I may have to re-enable it if I can't sort this out via another method.

edit - oh wait, locally. Hmm, yeah I can try that. Ta.

Thanks, I've just added the site into Trusted zones via GPO as well.

If all else fails I may have to tweak the default as suggested, cheers for the assist guys.

Instead of adding the site to the Trusted Sites zone, why not just add the URL to the list of websites that are allowed to show popups? It's in Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Pop-Up Allow List.
