Redrawn the woman from here as I didn't have time to sketch / scan / trace.
Damn you do good work Phill.
Clean, colourful and easy to navigate - just as a website oughta be.

Nice stuff Philll, is that DIN font you've used? What is the font in the Cakeree Cakes logo?

Thanks

It is DIN, but it will revert to Arial if javascript isn't on.

The font for Cakeree is a free one, Lobster font

I also made another illustrated site today (for work work) but with NDAs and all

I don't have any qualifications, I've picked a lot up at work in the last 2 years though, I couldn't even use Photoshop in 2008. Once you build up enough good examples you don't need them anyway.

Here's the coded version
so far

That is cute, Philll.
Do you figure out palettes in your own mind, or do you use pre-defined schemes? (kuler etc)

I've never used one of those sites as I don't see how the colour schemes work half the time, usually I'll just do it chopping and changing as I go, it looked nothing like that when I started out. It helps if the business already has a style guide though, detailing what colours you can use

Ah yeah I was worried about people not being able to read it, but I wanted something very angular to fit the rest of the thing.
