Hi I hope this is the right place to post this.
I'm just wondering which out of these GPS are the best in terms of features and performance. Thanks in advance. |

If you didn't join in 2008 I would have said you're spamming...
![]() I'd pick either TomTom. I got something small because it means I can put it on my quarter panel window (honda civic).

![]() Size isn't really an issue but if it's better than the navman I'll get it instead. |

Yeah, plenty of bots post on forums going
'I'm not sure about www.blah.com what do you guys think?' Although for D&S that would have been a new low. ![]() I think Navman and TomTom are comparable, from memory they both use the same maps. I think TomTom gets a better wrap, generally. Really though I got a Mio knowing that they use older maps, path finding may not be as good and it lacks certain features. I liked the look of it, it's the right size, was cheap and gets me from a to b perfectly fine though. I preferred the interface and display which was a big plus. So yeah, just have a look at them in the shop and decide what you think. Personally I think they're all the same shit in a different outfit. At the end of the day I'm sure I could have gotten TomTom and customised the display to suit me. Oh, don't go crazy though, there are some GPS units out there that are genuinely shit, you'll see the display looks bland/weak.

TomTom has the map edit and update from other users, plus advanced lane guidance.
Plus i saw the TomTom 140 for $199 i think, almost the same price as the TomTom QuickStart. Not sure what the QuickStart lacks over the 140.

I've had the Garmin 255 for about a year now. It has car, bicycle & pedestrian mode, plus 5 hours battery life. It uses Whereis. Hasn't failed me yet...
PM me if you have questions. Cheers |
